The Moreau Galleries at Saint Mary's College is a component of the Department of Art. The Department of Art is NASAD accredited and offers both BA and BFA degrees in studio art and art history. The Moreau Galleries are comprised of three galleries, the Hammes Gallery, Little Theatre Gallery and the Sister Marie Rosaire Extension and are located in the Moreau Center for the Arts. The Galleries have been in existence since 1959 and now contain approximately 1600 square feet of floor space and 270' running wall space. The Galleries, newly renovated in 1999, are traditional in appearance with white walls and track lighting. The Galleries are also wired for new media. The Hammes Gallery is a climate controlled space. During the academic year six to eight exhibitions of emerging and established artists' work are presented as well as student portfolio reviews, senior comprehensive exhibitions and a juried student exhibition. Yearly attendance is approximately 3000 visitors. The Galleries are primarily focused on education and do not take a commission on works sold nor are sales encouraged.

Gallery hours: Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. The gallery is closed on campus holidays and during the summer months.
