We are a group of professional and emerging sculptors, potters, and blacksmiths sharing a single, well-equipped studio and helping each other. Our members have made small artworks you can hold in the palm of one hand and monumental sculptures eleven feet high. Most of the sculpture is figurative, some abstract. The pottery is functional and fun. Come see the variety for yourself. The showroom is open every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM and the 1st Saturday of every month from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Look for our OPEN sandwich board sign outside the studio and watch for changing business hours. Appointments for showings outside of regular hours can be made by calling the studio at (574) 282-ARTS (2787). Behind the showroom is an amazing hive of activity, the Fire Arts Studios. This is where the artists are busy creating their newest art pieces or working on commissions. The public is invited to the Fire Arts studio every Tuesday night after 7:00 p.m. to browse the showroom. At 7:30, when the artists take a work break, there will be a tour of the studio to meet working artists and find out how things are made. People who love art and those who love tools and the technical aspects of sculpture and pottery will find this interesting. There is something here for everyone. What We Make Everything from A to Z! Awards Bronze portrait busts Church sculptures Dishes on commission Everyday pottery Fancy metal gates Garden sculptures Z . . . well, you get the picture. What Fire Arts Offers the Public Mini-workshops are offered on the 1st Saturday of every month. An introduction to 3D arts for a nominal fee is a great way to introduce all ages to the joys of sculpture. Add your name to our mailing list by visiting our website and get a monthly notice of events at our studio. We have a SHOWROOM full of beautiful artwork that is for sale. Window-shopping is encouraged and always free. Studio tours begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, so come early and browse the showroom. Awards & Commissions – sculpture, pottery, or ironwork. You can commission gifts, awards, portraits, garden art, or public art. Our artists are available to make commissioned artwork for you or your company. Remember to allow plenty of time for the project. It can never be too early to discuss your idea, but it is possible for you to call too late. The more time an artist has to work on the creation, the better the artwork will be. We can REPAIR artwork for you. To date, our artists have repaired a Madonna, cast matching ormalu for a piece of antique furniture, a Civil War monument, and other repairs and creations too numerous to list here.
