Little Theatre | Saint Mary's College

25 x 20 theatre with continental seating for 275. This theatre is ideal for lectures and panel discussions as well as dance, theater, and choral performances. Little Theatre has a large proscenium stage, with stage loading dock behind the theatre. There is also a nine-foot concert grand piano available for rent. The lobby/art gallery is perfect for receptions and art exhibits.

      02/16/12- 02/18/12	Opera for Children: El Gato con Botas (Puss in Boots) Little Theatre | Saint Mary's College Opera for Children: El Gato con Botas (Puss in Boots) Presented by Moreau Center for the Arts - Saint Mary's College at Little Theatre | Saint Mary's College February 16-February 18, 2012 Catalan composer Xavier Montsalvatge (1912-2002) wrote in a neo-classical style colored by popular tunes, folk song, and jazz. His early opera, El Gato con Botas (Puss in Boots) was written for children with a text by Charles Perrault. The story faithfully follows the familiar pantomime version of the tale; ogres are defeated, true love triumphs, and El Gato ends his days in the lap of luxury! Sung in English. This opera is presented by the Department of Music.

This annual concert is always a great way to close out the academic year and traditionally ends with an emotional singing of our alma mater, The Bells of Saint Mary’s. This concert is sponsored by the Department of Music.
