Amish Acres' mission includes education through interpretation, entertainment through the arts, and the extension of a visit through culinary experiences and craft products and services, through the private sector, in a for-profit business environment; providing our guests with the highest quality products and services for the price charged, and to become a heritage resort for all seasons, all reasons, and all ages in all appropriate segments of the world's population.
Our purpose is to continue to preserve and develop Amish Acres as the most historic and respected preservation and restoration of an Amish farmstead in the world. Amish Acres' purpose is to increase tolerance among people of different backgrounds by expanding the cultural acuity of its guests and the community at large. The equity of Amish Acres becomes a diverse cultural celebration of Americana, by using it as a base to expand the business enterprise through complementary and contiguous products and services. Musical theatre, architecture, historic interpretation, and visual and culinary arts are integrated to make a guest’s experience more vivid, entertaining, complete, and satisfying, exceeding his or her expectations.
The Stahly-Nissley-Kuhns eighty acre farm from which Amish Acres has been created is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. For over three decades Amish Acres has been developed as an historic restoration with the mission of interpreting the Amish lifestyle to the outside world. It is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of these plain people and their privacy. Possibly nowhere else in America is the preservation, restoration, and interpretation of the Amish lifestyle so diversely presented as at Amish Acres in Nappanee, Indiana.
