The 5th Annual Independent Video & Filmmakers Festival (IVFF) is the only independent film festival of its kind in Northern Indiana and is held on the IU South Bend campus. The film showings will be at Wiekamp Hall, Rooms 1001 and 1135. Workshops on screenwriting, special effects and producing microcinema will also be offered on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and each will last about an hour. Friday night will kick off with various short films including the internationally screened comedy THE GAMERS and the drama INFIDEL by South Bend filmmaker Peter O’Keefe. Saturday night’s line-up includes the award-winning CONFEDERATE ZOMBIE MASSCRE by Mishawaka filmmaker Devi Snively, which has appeared in 20 festivals worldwide. We’ll also be screening STILL LIVING, a short by British filmmaker Kit Shah which was co-directed with his uncle, Kiran Shah, who most recently acted in THE LORD OF THE RINGS and THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA. Please check out our website www.ivff.net for the complete film schedule and detailed information on our different workshops. The IVFF is sponsored by the IU South Bend Alumni Association and supported by the Mid America Filmmakers. This non-competitive festival is open to anyone who makes shorts or features, on video or film, including high school and college students.
