Dave Knoebber, watercolorist, art educator and radio host will present an array of watercolors in reflection of his gardens during his eighth annual exhibit at the Vickers Theatre and Art Gallery in Three Oaks, MI. This year’s exhibit is entitled, “Florals from a Paintbrush.” Knoebber has been painting at his studio in the New Buffalo area for the past thirteen years. His watercolors take you a little closer to the subject matter and each painting has a different approach to his traditional methods. He loves to give the viewer another look, a closer look, at the floral patterns and colors of the natural setting from his gardens that surrounds his studio. Most of his work, when weather permitting, is painted on site with the many gardens at his home and studio. He exhibits his work at local businesses, from his gallery/studio, the schoolhouse shop, and an annual one person show at the Vickers Theatre. Dave Knoebber is the host of the current radio show, “Harbor Country Art Scene” broadcast on a weekly basis from WRHC 106.7fm in Three Oaks. This program offers the listener an opportunity of hearing what is out and about in the Harbor Country art scene as well as interviews of artists and musical selections. Knoebber’s floral landscape watercolors will be on exhibit the month of August with an artist reception being held on Saturday, August 16 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. You have heard him on the radio these past three years, now come into the Vickers and see what he paints.
