"MeMeMe" an exhibit of photography by Jack Lane - Jack Lane grew up in Upstate New York as a spoiled, only child. (His email address includes "mememe" and is the name of his photography show at the Vickers Theatre Gallery.) His first real, and favorite, job was as a Copy Boy for the Washington Post. After helping the Post bring down "Tailgunner Joe" McCarthy, Lane worked for ad agencies in New York and Chicago, followed by a 20-year stint running his commercial photo studio in Chicago, doing advertising and media photography. He lives in New Buffalo with his wife, the former dancer Dani Lane and assorted animals and is involved in home construction. "A famous photographer friend of mine said he wanted to 'change the world' with his pictures. I thought a moment and realized that my somewhat less lofty ambition was to make people happy looking at my stuff. I might have chosen the easier path but think there is a better chance of success. I do know that it makes me happy and isn't that all that matters?"
