Bonnie Davis Exhibit
May 1-June 2, 2008
Add Review/CommentThrough the month of May the Vickers Theatre Gallery will have the work of Bonnie Davis on exhibit. "The force that through the green fuse drives the flower." "The green fuse" in this Dylan Thomas quotation speaks to the natural elements that inspire my work. Unexpressed feelings and emotions are my creative force. My objective is to convey my inner spirit and affect the viewer strongly with energy and vigor that I have put on paper. Since childhood, I have been spending summers in Berrien County. From watching thunderstorms move across the lake to witnessing the seasonal transformation of the woods, the landscape and beauty of the area continue to inform and inspire my work. I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a BFA and have been fortunate to pursue my art full-time since my retirement and move to Michigan in 2004.” Join us May 3 and May 4 (Saturday & Sunday) for an art reception and demonstration by local artist Bonnie Davis. From 1:00-3:00pm (MI time) on both days, Bonnie will be working on one of her large drawings which are graphite on paper. This event is free and in conjunction with Art Attack in Harbor Country.
