Enjoy a weekend filled with friends, food and good old family entertainment, at this year's Bonneyville Celebration, Saturday and Sunday, September 11 & 12. The mill valley will be filled with a variety of craftsmen, entertainment and antique agricultural equipment displays. The event takes place from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. both days at the historic park which is located 2.5 miles east of Bristol, IN on County Road 131, south of State Road 120. Spinners and weavers, quilters, basket makers and wood workers are just a few of the craftspeople that will be demonstrating their skills and selling their goods during the event. Area vendors will offer a wide variety of unique handmade specialty items for sale and fresh, locally grown produce will be for sale at the Celebration’s new Farmer’s Market. Throughout the weekend, a variety of local instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers will take to the stage. Headliners will include the Chicago based Small Potatoes. Local favorites Les & Gwen Gustafson Zook, the Witt Brothers and the Barn Owl String Band will also be performing. On Saturday, storyteller and musician Dan Kedding will weave his dynamic stories and powerful ballads to the delight of the listeners. Admission to the Celebration is $3.00 per person or $7.00 per carload so be sure to bring your friends and carpool. A horse-drawn tram will take passengers from the parking area to the mill valley. Those driving to the festival are asked to enter on County Road 8, south of State Road 120. The Elkhart County Parks would like to thank the sponsors of this year's Bonneyville Celebration: The Friends of the Elkhart County Parks, the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau and WVPE Radio For more information on the 28th Annual Bonneyville Celebration Contact the Elkhart County Parks at 574-535-6458 or www.elkhartcountyparks.org
