Award-winning author and storyteller Arbutus Cunningham (a.k.a. Hester Hemmerling) will be telling tales at Artpost Gallery on Sunday, August 15, from 7-9 pm.

Originally from South Texas, Arbutus now co-hosts a weekly radio show, Old Time Train 45, on WFHB Radio, in Bloomington, Indiana. She is a sought-after spoken-word performer, a world-class storyteller, and can coax a gourd to grow in the bleakest of soil conditions. Arbutus has released 3 CDs of short stories; her latest is titled Mostly Shorts. She most recently collaborated with Bloomington singer-songwriter Krista Detor and guitarist David Weber to help create Darwin for a Day, a limited run of performances celebrating the amazing life of Charles Darwin and his lasting and profound influence on the world.
