Friday, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. is the opening for the Tile Art show by Kathy Reddy White. The show is at the South Bend Christian Reformed Church, 1855 Hickory Road, South Bend. For more information, call 574.272.8424 or e-mail to art@sbcrc.org.
Her custom tiles are mixed with commercial tiles and framed. The tile theme is nature, both celebrating it and expressing concern about what we are doing to our natural environment. Kathy Reddy White is the owner of CircaArts Gallery. She is a native of South Bend, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Saint Marys College and a Masters of Fine Arts degree from The University of Notre Dame. Kathy is both a painter and a tile maker. Her aesthetic is grounded by architecture and her life on the water in Michigan. Tile work for Kathy is inspired by ancient cultures, antiques, nature and the environment.
