Lively dancing, colorful costumes and sets and a holiday story to warm even the coldest heart makes “Christopher’s Christmas” the must-see to begin the holiday season in Michiana. Now in its twenty-eighth year, this original story in dance is presented by Patchwork Dance Company and includes a cast of one hundred performers.
The action revolves around a young mouse named Christopher who tries to rekindle the holiday spirit in the cynical heart of his Great Uncle Mouse. Their adventures include many time-honored favorites. An on-stage snowfall represents a winter wonderland while nine dancers whirl and glide in dance. Toyland comes alive with dancing Harlequin, China and Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls while soldiers and even dancing crayons add to the excitement. A jaunt down a darkened alley leads Christopher and Great Uncle through wintery winds and dancing shadows to enjoy the antics of alley cats and a comic cop. The beauty of the season is portrayed through the delicate dance of the angel.
Appropriate for all ages, "Christopher's Christmas" is the perfect holiday tradition for your family.
