A moving tribute to the power of hope over adversity, THE COLOR PURPLE is based on Alice Walker's popular novel and the celebrated Steven Spielberg film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey. Broadway's soaring musical recounts the inspiring tale of Celie's struggle to overcome the oppression of the segregated South to find her beloved sister and reunite with her children.
