Madrigal Dinners
December 3-December 5, 2010
Add Review/Comment
Imagine yourself in a medieval castle where a grand meal is served as the master of the house greets his guests, jugglers perform, and groups of singers burst into song. The Saint Mary's College Madrigal Singers, joined by the Early Music Ensemble from Andrews University, perform music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance in a Twenty-First Century reenactment of the Renaissance feasts hosted in the great baronial halls throughout England during the Twelve Days of Christmas. The music is conducted by Saint Mary's College professor, Nancy Menk.
Enjoy a feast reflective of one that might have been served in the Middle Ages with a menu that includes the wassail, salad, main course, and dessert. Vegetarian and children's menus also available.
*Seating is based on when order is taken.
*Special consideration is taken for children in groups, family of the cast, and college dignitaries.
Presented by the Department of Music.
