Jacob's recital celebrates the 200th anniversary of the births of two of the greatest piano composers, Frederic Chopin and Robert Schumann.The program consists entirely of works by these two composers as well as a few words of commentary about their lives, music and influence. The program focuses on early, popular works by both composers that helped to establish their reputations: Chopin's Nocturnes, Polonaises, and Scherzos and Schumann's gigantic Carnaval. Presented by the Department of Music.
