Intro to Spinning–Make Your Own Yarn (Summer)

Instructor: Elizabeth Zapf.
Explore the origins of fiber and learn how many of the animal and plant fibers may be spun to create yarn. Students will learn how to prepare wool for spinning and will have the opportunity to spin on a hand held spindle as well as a spinning wheel. Explore natural colored and dyed fibers as you learn the process. Work at your own pace and receive individual attention. Additional spindles and fibers will be available for purchase.
