Wilco will make their final Midwest concert appearance of 2010 at Coveleski Stadium on Friday, July 30th. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. followed by the concert at 7:00 p.m. with special guests Yo La Tengo. Tickets are $45 and go on sale Saturday, May 15 at Noon EST and will be available in person at the Coveleski Stadium Box Office, online at etix.com and wilcoworld.net and by phone at 1-800-514-ETIX. All tickets are general admission. Children age 4 and under are free. There is no baseball game the day of the show.

      Wilco played a 2 & 1/2 hour set from 8:30 to 11.They played 2 encores over the span of 29 songs. I own every Wilco CD but was surprised when they played about 10 I was not familiar with,so I will do... Expand

      Wilco played a 2 & 1/2 hour set from 8:30 to 11.They played 2 encores over the span of 29 songs. I own every Wilco CD but was surprised when they played about 10 I was not familiar with,so I will do some personal research reacquainting myself with these songs.They performed a Neil Young cover and closed w/ a Big Star cover joined by Yo La Tengo.Here is the remaining set list breakdown:1 song from A.M.,5 from Being There,3 from Summer Teeth,1 from Mermaid Ave Vol. II,5 from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot,3 from A Ghost Is Born,5 from Sky Blue Sky, & 4 from Wilco (the Album)It was a thoroughly enjoyable concert by seemingly all.Jeff Tweedy is one of the most charismatic lead singers I have ever witnessed.He peppered his performance with funny one liners & jokes throughout the show.Since it was general admission I was able to stand 4 to 5 rows from the stage.If I had made the set list myself it would have been a 5 star performance.The woman who accompanied me remarked that she is now a Wilco fan 4 life, Collapse
