Legendary Midwest classic rock band REO SPEEDWAGON returns with special guests BLUE OYSTER CULT for a rock doubleheader performance.
REO SPEEDWAGON was formed in the early 1970s while the band members were students at University of Illinois in Champaign. Playing a regular circuit of fraternity and sorority parties around Champaign, REO SPEEDWAGON gained notice around the Midwest when they released the singles "Ridin' The Storm Out" and "Golden Country," and developed a reputation as a great live band.
Following the 1978 release of "You Can Tune A Piano But You Can't Tuna Fish," REO gained national attention and radio airplay by touring relentlessly. Their 1980 release "High Infidelity" was the top selling album release that year, and remains one of the best selling rock albums in history. Songs including "Take It On The Run," "Keep On Lovin' You," "Roll With The Changes," "Time For Me To Fly" and "Can't Fight This Feeling" are staples of classic rock radio, and have been featured on television shows and movies, along with radio and tv commercials.
