Comic visionaries CHEECH MARIN and TOMMY CHONG are scheduled to make their first South Bend appearance together since 1977. The 2010 Cheech & Chong: Get It Legal Tour is the follow up to the hugely successful reunion tour Cheech & Chong: Light Up America tour in 2008/2009, when they performed together for the first time in 25 years. "We had an amazing time last year reconnecting with each other and our fans,” says CHEECH MARIN. "In 2010 we are looking forward to doing more classic material that people haven't seen for years and years, performing more of our songs and introducing new bits." "We've had material brewing separately for the last 25 years", says TOMMY CHONG. RICHARD "CHEECH" MARIN and TOMMY CHONG helped define an era with their hilariously irreverent, satirical, counter culture, no-holds-barred comedy routines. Their phenomenal success included 9 comedy albums and 8 hit films. Their debut movie "Up In Smoke" in 1978 defined a new genre of movies - the stoner comedy. "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie," and "Nice Dreams" were also released to big ticket sales in 1980 and 1981. Some of the hit songs and comedy bits included "Dave's Not Here," "Santa Claus and His Old Lady," "Sister Mary Elephant (SHUDD-UP!),” "Earache My Eye featuring Alice Bowie,” "Bloat On, featuring The Bloaters," "Up In Smoke," "Basketball Jones," and Cheech's solo hit "Born In East L.A." TOMMY CHONG’s wife SHELBY CHONG will open the show.
