Dotty has the perfect life! Decorating her apartment with her hand-painted renditions of home appliances as she breathlessly awaits her dreamboat husband's return for his nightly smiley-face hamburger leaves her hopelessly ecstatic! Then crisis erupts when her first venture out of her apartment in seven years reveals all that she is missing in life and her path to independence begins.
