Actor and Comedian Sinbad keeps his comedy clean after his minister father attended one of his early performances. His family ties encourage his clean, animated and hilariously funny comedy and he has built a loyal following by taking embarrassing tribulations of day-to-day life and turning them into comedy.

Sinbad (born David Adkins in Benton Harbor, MI) began his career in 1983 traveling to comedy clubs across the USA on his "Poverty Tour." His big break came as a finalist on “Star Search” in the mid-80’s. Sinbad’s TV credits include “The New Redd Foxx Show,” “A Different World,” and host of “It’s Showtime at the Apollo.”

Sinbad’s first one-hour HBO comedy special, “Brain Damaged,” became the second highest “Comedy Hour” ever.
