Low Fidelity, an exhibit showcasing the work of seven regional photographers who make art with plastic, pinhole and Polaroid cameras.
An opening reception, with exhibiting artists in attendance, will be held on Friday January 8th from 5-9 pm.
These photographers use simple, inexpensive toy and hand-made cameras, which can produce blurred images, over-saturated colors, light leaks, and other 'happy accidents', to create a dreamlike 'low-fidelity' aesthetic in their work. Each artist uses a different approach and printing process to create their photographs.
Photographers exhibiting include Gina Costa (South Bend IN) Lomography, Jacqueline Dickey (South Bend IN) Polaroid transfers, Ruth Droppo (Bloomington IN) pinhole prints, Bill Healy (South Bend IN) Holga silver prints, James Kellar (Bloomington IN) archival pigment prints, Craig Sheaks (South Bend IN) Holga C-prints and Bill Vaccaro (Chicago IL) Platinum Ziatypes.
