A family friendly opera by Gian Carlo Menotti. The opera was originally written for television broadcast and became a holiday tradition on NBC. The opera tells the tale of a young boy who meets three Kings on their way to welcome the Christ child. The opera was inspired by "The Adoration of the Magi," an oil and gold on wood painting by Hieronymus Bosch.
