Jan is a resident of Benton Harbor and currently teaches at Krasl Art Center. She is an adjunct faculty member at Lake Michigan College and taught at St. Petersburg College, Eckerd College and the St. Petersburg Art Center. Jan instructed kiln-formed glass at the Water Street Glassworks in Benton Harbor. Her Bachelor of Arts degree is from Wayne State University and her Masters of Fine Arts degree is from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She also studied art in Cennina, Italy. Jan’s sculptures often combine clay with glass, wire, steel and stone.
