The world’s greatest love story takes to the streets of New York in this landmark Broadway musical. Two idealistic young lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. The show’s exciting, sophisticated score is often considered Broadway’s finest, its songs (“Tonight,” “Maria,” “I Feel Pretty”) part of the nation’s musical heritage.

      My wife and I attended West Side Story on August 1st, Opening Night. This was not our first time seeing West Side Story having seen it in Chicago and Milwaukee a number of years ago. In those performances, the play was put on by professionals. The performance by SBCT on August 1st was equal to, if not better, than the professional performances in Chicago and Milwaukee. The dancing by all the performers was marvelous. The 2 leads - Maria and Tony - were terrific. What a treat in our hometown. Collapse
