      Last evening my wife and I saw "Death of a Saleman" at SBCT. The play struck many raw nerves. Willy and his family live in a fantasy world of their own making. Willy's idea of success is warped by... Expand

      Last evening my wife and I saw "Death of a Saleman" at SBCT. The play struck many raw nerves. Willy and his family live in a fantasy world of their own making. Willy's idea of success is warped by his lack of a genuine role model in his own father. Willy tries unsuccessfully to live his life through his son, Biff. Biff and his mother are the only family members who really see Willy for what he is -- a phony. My wife and I had quite an indepth conversation about the play as we drove home from the theatre. How much phoniness is in our own lives and how reluctant are we to "call out" each other when those unhealthy traits show up in our actions? Collapse
