Presenting the best of classical music with passion and poise are the Notre Dame Chamber Players, a faculty ensemble from the University of Notre Dame Department of Music. Carolyn Plummer, violin, Karen Buranskas, cello, and John Blacklow, piano, will play Brahm’s Trio in B major, Op. 8, Prokofiev’s powerful Cello Sonata, and Beethoven’s “Spring” Sonata No. 5 in F Major, Op. 24 for this winter concert. Pianist Paivi Ekroth, a talented musician with master of music degrees from the Sibelius Academy in Finland, the Tordaze Piano Studio at Indiana University South Bend, and the University of Notre Dame, will be joining the trio as a guest artist for this performance.
