Join us for an exhibit of abstracts represented through the work of two artists. Stop in for an artist reception October 18, 1:00-3:00 p.m. and meet the artists.
“Intrigued by stacks and jars of collected and found objects in my studio, I started to explore their re-use and incorporation into a new body of mixed-media work. First came color, then pattern and wordplay, from which I created layers of symbolism and visual discovery. The canvas paintings in this exhibit explore the same concepts within a more traditional medium.” - Audi Ambrozaitis.
“The work on exhibit displays a wide range of media. I strive to be receptive to the unique properties of different materials, to allow the special character of each medium to inform my work. While there are traces of formal and thematic trends in the images, I also hope to encourage viewers to consider how materiality plays an important role in the construction of an art piece.” -Vilija Pakalniskis.
