Fiddles, dulcimers, dancing feet and joyful voices will fill the air with the sounds of the past and present at the 2008 Annual Bonneyville Celebration On Saturday, the Promissory Notes will start us off with the classic beauty of dulcimer music, followed by Adam Carter Nafziger on his old-time banjo and fiddle, the lively stepping and energetic dancing of the Heartland Country Cloggers. The unforgettable Wit Brothers will take the stage with their genuine humor and charm. And to finish out the day, the Goldmine Pickers will show what Newgrass is all about.
On Sunday, Damien Fosse a very talented old-time fiddler from Chicago will start out the day. The Gustafson-Zook family will follow, with Les on the autoharp, Gwen on the guitar and Sadie on the fiddle. Next will be the old-time bluegrass music of Matt Scutchfield and Band. And last, but not least, will be the refreshing mix of bluegrass and jazz of Drop the Dawg. Sunday afternoon, strolling musicians, Liza and Mark Woolever will mingle and jingle their ways through the crowds as they perform your favorite historical tunes from bygone days.
So, whether it is bluegrass, newgrass, folk or dawg music you are looking for, we have it at the 2008 Annual Bonneyville Celebration. Bring your lawnchair or blanket and enjoy the sounds at Bonneyville Mill.
