About the Center for Social Concerns 25th Anniversary Events: During the 2006-2007 academic year the University of Notre Dame Center for Social Concerns is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a series of events acknowledging its commitment to community-based learning, service, and research. On September 23, the Center will celebrate its work in the Appalachia region, where it has sent over 4600 students on service-learning immersions since 1980.
