    Come enjoy "Songs and Strings: Celebrating Appalachia", a concert featuring seven musicians from the Appalachia region: Michael DeLalla - Virtuoso guitarist & composer Madeline MacNeil - Legendary dulcimist, singer & Mel Bay clinician Andrew McKnight - Award-winning singer and songpoet Keith & Joan Pitzer - Original and traditional folk music Wild Carrot - Eclectic folk and roots duo. About the Center for Social Concerns 25th Anniversary Events: During the 2006-2007 academic year the University of Notre Dame Center for Social Concerns is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a series of events acknowledging its commitment to community-based learning, service, and research. On September 23, the Center will celebrate its work in the Appalachia region, where it has sent over 4600 students on service-learning immersions since 1980.
