The University of Notre Dame Chorale is a select choral organization open to students from every field of study. In its campus concerts and on tour throughout the nation, the Chorale presents music drawn from the finest choral tradition. It frequently performs works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Stravinsky with orchestral accompaniment. Director Alexander Blachly is well-known outside the University of Notre Dame for his world-acclaimed Renaissance vocal ensemble Pomerium, with which he is recording an ongoing series of compact discs of a cappella Renaissance music.
