Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
May 16, 2008
Add Review/CommentFrankie Valli and The Four Seasons, during a hit-making streak that spanned the years 1962-68, netted 24 Top 40 singles, including the No. 1 hits "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man" and "Rag Doll." They've sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them the most successful white doo-wop group in rock and roll history. In 1975, The Four Seasons reformed and found the top of the charts again with "Who Loves You" and "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)." Other songs include: “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Swearin’ To God,” “Ain’t That A Shame,” “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do,” “Bye, Bye Baby (Baby Good-Bye),” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “Working My Way Back to You.” Frankie Valli has also enjoyed success as a solo artist with "My Eyes Adored You" and "Grease," both of which went to Number One. "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" appeared on the soundtrack to the movie “Forest Gump,” and re-entered the singles chart. Owing to its second lease on life, it became the longest-charting single in history with 50 weeks.
