Ensemble-in-Residence, Claricello, charges into its third season of the Claricello and Friends Concert Series with unrivalled variety. Led by Jason Gresl (clarinet) and Lara Turner (cello), both adjunct faculty members in the Department of Music, the series aims to provide an opportunity for listeners to experience the many colors of classical chamber music. The concerts feature a potpourri of past and present, juxtaposing familiar works alongside little known gems. The season opens on September 20, featuring Gresl in an eclectic program entitled “Woodworks.” The program includes clarinet and bass clarinet works by familiar composers Prokofiev and Martinu as well as New York City based composer, Michael Lowenstern and Latino composer, Robert Sierra.
