    ABOUT YVONNE MACKAY As one of New Zealand's  leading directors of film and television programs, Yvonne Mackay is active in a wide spectrum of  award-winning media initiatives that address New Zealand  society both at home and abroad.  She became New Zealand's first female feature-film director in 1984 with the release of THE SILENT ONE.  She has also directed over one hundred hours of documentaries and dramas for Television New Zealand including the iconic award-winning  primetime drama series DUGGAN and the primetime murder mystery mini-series TYPHON'S PEOPLE.  See www.gibson.co.nz.
