Legendary rock band Deep Purple formed in London in 1968, Deep Purple along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath defined the English heavy hard rock era. "Smoke On The Water" might be the all time garage band hard rock riff favorite, and that song is now featured in a national Dodge Trucks tv spot. Other singles included "Hush", "My Woman From Tokyo", "Space Truckin" and "Kentucky Woman.” Albums included "Machine Head". "Made In Japan", "Purpendicular" and the most recent "Rapture of the Deep" and the rest of their catalog have generated tens of millions of album sales over the last 39 years. Original members Ian Gillen, Roger Glover, and Ian Paice are joined by long time member and guitar legend Steve Morse (also well known for his work with Dixie Dregs) and keyboard player Don Airey.
