Four Little Girls” looks at the racially motivated bombing in 1963 of a Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, which took the lives of four young African American girls. The film features archival footage, home photographs and comments by surviving family members. Interviews with Walter Cronkite, Jesse Jackson, Andrew Young and Coretta Scott King are also shown in the film as well as a rare and revealing interview with former Alabama governor George Wallace. The film is part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Presentation Series offered in conjunction with the exhibit, Media Coverage of Civil Rights. The film is free with the purchase of a museum admission. Attendees may view Media Coverage of Civil Rights prior to and following the film.
