Formed by Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons in San Jose, California in 1970, The Doobie Brothers were signed to Warner Brothers Records later that year, and have had radio airplay ever since. Hit songs include“Listen to the Music” “Jesus is Just Alright,” “Rockin’ Down the Highway,” “China Grove,” “Long Train Running,” “South City Midnight Lady,” “Without You,” “Black Water,” “Another Park, Another Sunday,” “Eyes of Silver,” “Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me),” “Sweet Maxine,” “I Cheat the Hangman,” “Takin’ It to the Streets,” “It Keeps You Running,” “You Belong to Me,” “Little Darlin’,” “What a Fool Believes,” “Minute by Minute,” “Dependin’ on You,” “Real Love,” “One Step Closer,” “South Bay Strut,” and “The Doctor.” The Doobie Brothers have sold over 50 million albums in their career, received 2 Grammy awards, had 27 chart singles, 16 top 40 hits, and had 13 Gold album awards. Their "Best of The Doobie Brothers Volume 1, is one of the best selling albums of all time, with over 10 million copies sold.
