Every year the SBSO invites talented high school musicians from the northern Indiana -- southwest Michigan region to participate in a joint concert with our own professional musicians. The competition to participate in this year's concert was phenomenal. Over 100 area students auditioned for a chance to perform with the Symphony's professional musicians. Three of these accomplished students will each perform a piece with the Symphony's accompaniment after which an additional forty-two student musicians will join the professionals and perform exciting orchestral selections “side-by-side” in a unique mentoring experience.
