Tyler Perry is back with his latest stage production, “What's Done in the Dark.” Although written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry, he does not appear in this play. The show is very high spirited, encouraging and full of fabulous singing. It raises the conscious level of current health issues and single parenthood. The inspiring message promotes bold statements of truth and understanding when it comes to love and infidelity. According to this story, everyone has a song and dance to tell but is everyone telling the whole story? Always remember, what’s done in the dark will always come to light! Witty characters dramatize issues and situations that can relate to you. Kerry, head nurse and assistant to the chief of staff thinks she has it all - including Dr. Paul Bowman. She struts around like the hospital is a wonderland for her. Can Nurse Trudy step out of “self” long enough to find romance? Brenda and her tall talented son have to deal with a tired deadbeat father. Hospital staff members all have secrets that are revealed. “What's Done in the Dark” is a story of suspense, health issues, and sensitive emotions. Despite the best efforts to keep matters quiet, staff members realize that being silent is no way to find out the truth. Starring David Mann and Tamela Mann (“Meet the Browns”); D’Atra Hicks (Family Reunion); Christian Keyes and Ryan Gentles (“Madea Goes to Jail”); Terrell Carter, Chandra Currelley, Jamal McGhee, and Chantell Christopher (Madea’s Class Reunion), Demetria McKinney (Meet the Browns),and Latrice Pace (“I Know I’ve Been Changed”)- all Tyler Perry Productions. Newcomers to the production family are Nikki Baldwin and Dino Hanson. The tour has traveled since September to major markets of New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington, DC, and is now coming to South Bend!
