Notre Dame has long promoted jazz at the university level through its Collegiate Jazz Festival. Begun in 1959 it is the oldest jazz festival for college musicians in the nation. The Notre Dame Jazz Band has been the host of this competition since the beginning. From smooth notes that pull at the soul to beats that stir your feet, the Notre Dame Jazz Band is sure to entertain.
