Add Review/CommentCellist Cheng-Hou Lee was an assistant to Paul Katz for five years and has worked with Yo-Yo Ma, Harvey Shapiro, Janos Starker, Mistilav Rostropovich, Zara Nclsova, Steven Iserlis, Raphael Wallfisch and Gary Hoffman. Mr. Lee has won the Chi-Mei Foundation Award for Outstanding Talents, twice the National Cello Competition in Taiwan, and a career grant from the Quanta Computer Education Foundation. He has performed with Ruth Laredo, William Bolcom, the Omega Ensemble, and the Boromeo and Miami Quartets. Mr. Lee has also appeared at the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, the Charles Wadsworth and Friends Series, Robert Kapilow’s “What Makes It Great?” Series at Lincoln Center, the Newburyport Festival, the Ravinia Festival, as well as on WQXR station in NYC. He is currently the cellist with the Avalon String Quartet.
