    A native of France, Blaise Magnière studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England, McGill University in Montreal (BMus93) and the Cleveland Institute of Music (MMus95) under the tutelage of Donald Weilerstein. Blaise has performed in numerous chamber music festivals throughout Europe and appeared as a soloist with both the Cleveland Institute Orchestra and McGill Symphony. He is currently first violin of the Avalon String Quartet, ensemble in residence at IU South Bend.
