MercyMe was founded in 1994 as a praise and worship band by vocalist Bart Millard, keyboardist Jim Bryson, guitarist Mike Scheuchzer, assist Nathan Cochran and percussionist Robby Schaffer. Their hit song “I Can Only Imagine” transcended musical barriers to become a multi-format smash, pushing sales of MercyMe's debut, "Almost There," beyond double platinum and earning them Gospel Music Association's Song of the Year. MercyMe has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The band’s newest album “Coming Up to Breathe” contains songs such as "So Long Self" to the sweeping epic "Hold Fast," which reminds us all of the strength to be found in God's presence Special guest Audio Adrenaline formed on the campus of Kentucky Christian College and recorded an independent single, "My God," and “Don't Censor Me” followed in 1993, scoring hits with the singles "Big House" and "Can't Take God Away." After 1995's “Live Bootleg,” the band resurfaced a year later with “Bloom,” which debuted in the Top 60 on the Billboard pop charts. The band won two consecutive Grammy awards in the rock gospel album of the year for “Worldwide” in 2004 and for “Until My Heart Caves In” in 2006 and four Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. Band members include lead vocalist Mark Stuart, guitarist Barry Blair, bassist Will McGinnis, keyboardist Bob Herdman and drummer a Ben Cissell. Special Guest Aaron Shust’s debut album “Anything Worth Saying” contains fresh praise and worship choruses and exudes confident hope, passionately carrying listeners toward God’s promised restoration. Aaron leads worship throughout the United States at new churches, adult retreats and youth camps, placing his songwriting fingers firmly on the pulse of the church’s devotion.
