    Gwendolyn is our 2006 Sparks Prize Winner at the University of Notre Dame. Nicholas Sparks funds the annual Sparks Prize, awarded to a distinguished graduate from the Creative Writing Program at the University of Notre Dame. The prize pays a stipend of $20,000 to allow a writer one post-graduation year of residency and writing time. Gwendolyn will be reading an exerpt from her novel Essence Game, a memoir using the backdrop of soccer to portray a brother and a sister. Location Detail: Hospitality Room, Reckers
