    Anthony Devroye, a member of the Avalon String Quartet, presents his campus solo debut. The recital will include music by Penderecki, Hindemith, Ligeti, Brahms and Max Reger. Mr. Devroye is an avid chamber musician and has performed at the Ravinia, Norfolk and Angel Fire festivals, and participated in the 2001 Isaac Stern Chamber Music Workshop as a member of the Esterhazy Quartet. He has also performed internationally at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and the Rencontres Musicales in Enghien, Belgium. Anthony Devroye has presented solo recitals in New York, Philadelphia, and Miami, and appeared as soloist on the “Music from St. Paul’s Chapel” series in New York City. In 2005 he received First Prize in the Julio Cardona International Viola Competition in Portugal, and will return there in 2006 for a concerto performance.
