The Goo Goo Dolls formed in 1986 in Buffalo, NY, with members John Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac and drummer Mike Malinin and have evolved from a scrappy punk-influenced trio into the platinum-selling, chart-topping act behind such radio staples as “Name,” “Iris,” Slide,” and “Here is Gone.” After the incredible success of “Iris,” the ballad recorded for the City of Angels soundtrack, and The Goo Goo Dolls 1998 Blockbuster “Dizzy Up the Girl.” The Goo Goo Dolls have an instinct for original and authentic music and are constantly recreating the standard for alternative rock. You won’t want to miss The Goo Goo Dolls live in concert at The Morris! Opening act Augustana band members include Dan Layus on piano and guitar, lead guitarist Josiah Rosen, Jared Palomar on bass and keyboards, and drummer Justin South. The band’s debut album, “All the Stars and Boulevards” was released in 2005. See also: Adaptation wired into Goo Goo Dools (News & Reviews)
