The South Bend premiere of this smash-hit phenomenon about two teens, a basketball star named Troy and brainy Gabriella, who are worlds apart when they meet at a summer karaoke contest. Back at school, when they decide to audition for the school musical, their friends all try to discourage them from carrying out their plans. Songs include “Start of Something New,” “Get’cha Head in the Game,” “”What I’ve Been Looking For,” “Stick to the Status Quo,” “When There Was Me and You,” “Bop to the Top,” “Breaking Free,” and “We’re All In This Together.”

      I took my 8 year old son to this performance last night. It was so great to see him sitting in the edge of his seat, grinning for ear to ear the entire show. He didn't want it to be over! The young performers were absolutely fantastic. I was very impressed. My son also loved the fact that he was able to get autographs and have pictures taken with the performers after the show. This is one you won't want to miss! Way to go South Bend Civic! Collapse

      I took five children, ages 7-11, to see SBCT version of Disney's High School Musical; they were captivated. The music, the choreography, the acting were all superb, especially the four talented lead... Expand

      I took five children, ages 7-11, to see SBCT version of Disney's High School Musical; they were captivated. The music, the choreography, the acting were all superb, especially the four talented lead performers. My seven year old son, who is a tough critic when it comes to anything that makes him sit still for two hours, gave the performance five stars, said he "wished it could have gone on forever," and instantly wanted to know if we can see it again. The message is positive, the music upbeat, and I can't think of a better way to get young people hooked on live theater. Great job, SBCT! Collapse
