Civic celebrates its 50th Anniversary with this masterwork of modern theatre, staged by SBCT in 1957, its very first season. The play that established Tennessee Williams as a major American playwright, The Glass Menagerie is the compelling story of Tennessee’s own family, each struggling to cope with the harsh realities of the Great Depression and the bitter memories that haunt them.
