Consummate artists in their respective solo careers, cellist Karen Buranskas, violinist Carolyn Plummer, and pianist John Blacklow blend together in perfect harmony as the Notre Dame Chamber Players. The concert will feature the music of Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E major, Op. 47, marking the 150th anniversary of the composer’s death, and Shostakovich’s Trio No. 2 in E minor for Violin, Cello, and Piano, Op. 67, in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Guest artists joining the Notre Dame Chamber Players for this concert are violist Kathryn Plummer (Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University) and pianist Daniel Schlosberg (Artist in Residence, University of Notre Dame).
