Kelly May and Matt Merten direct the Notre Dame Concert Bands and Winds as they perform their annual fall concert. In addition to having one of the finest collegiate marching bands, Notre Dame has a long and rich tradition of concert band performance. Annually, over two hundred students participate in the three fall ensembles and spring semesters. These groups perform several concerts during the academic year and at the annual commencement exercises. Concert band ensembles have also recently toured overseas to Ireland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
